What this policy covers

DVCnow is an independent peer-to-peer marketplace that helps DVC owners and travelers connect. This policy explains the information we collect when you use DVCnow, why we use it, and the choices available to you.

Information we collect

• Account information: email address, display name, username, and authentication details managed by our authentication provider.
• Profile and marketplace content: your profile details, listings, trip requests, messages, ratings, and reports you submit.
• Service and security information: basic technical logs, timestamps, rate-limit events, and staff review action histories needed to operate, secure, and investigate misuse of the service.

How we use information

We use information to provide the marketplace, display the content you choose to publish, enable private discussions, prevent abuse, investigate reports, maintain security, and improve the service. We do not sell personal information or use marketplace messages to make automated eligibility decisions.

What other members can see

Your username, public profile content, published listings, published trip requests, and ratings may be visible to other DVCnow members or visitors as applicable. Private messages are intended for their participants. If a conversation is reported, authorized moderators and administrators can review its latest 100 messages to investigate the report. Do not put payment credentials, account numbers, government IDs, passwords, or other sensitive information in a listing, trip request, or message.

Service providers and disclosures

We use service providers to host DVCnow, authenticate members, store marketplace data, and deliver email. They process information on our behalf to provide those services. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to protect members, investigate fraud or abuse, comply with law, or protect DVCnow's rights and safety.

Retention and your choices

We retain information for as long as needed to run the marketplace, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent abuse. You may update your profile and account information in DVCnow. If you want to request account deletion or have a privacy question, use the support contact made available by DVCnow; some records may be retained when necessary for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

Security and limits

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. DVCnow does not process rental payments, hold funds, or verify every listing or member. Each arrangement remains a direct agreement between members.

Policy updates

We may update this policy as DVCnow changes. The effective date above will identify the latest version. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy to the extent permitted by law.
